Antara Gupta
Hello! My name is Antara Gupta, and I am currently a senior at Reedy High School in Frisco, Texas. As a second-year student in the ISM program, I have spent ample time exploring both of my interests: business and medicine. Over these enriching two years, I have used this portfolio to share what I have learned and created through my experiences in each field of study.
Last year as a junior, I was fortunate enough to study International Marketing under my mentors from Pizza Hut Inc., Ms. Regina Borda and Ms. Timea Domokos. In the corporate world, I found experiences like none other before, and I came to realize that I love interacting with others and problem-solving. Hence, this year, I decided to combine these two strengths with my interest in medicine, and ta-da! I found the perfect career: neurology. My interest in science and medicine began as early on as the age of six, when I would spend countless hours in front of my microscope, studying the structure of an onion cell. However, through high school, my love for the medical field deepened through Health Science Clinical Rotations and HOSA, an organization for future health professionals. Having the pleasure to serve Reedy HOSA as President, I have come to recognize the endless possibilities that lie at the conjunction of service and medicine. Regardless of what I end up doing, my ultimate goal is to be an inspiration to others and help lead the way in creating a better tomorrow. |
Mission Statement 2017-2018
Through the Independent Student and Mentorship program, I hope to increase my knowledge of international marketing and further nurture my passion for service and knowledge. I aim to gain high quality experiences as well as expand my contacts in the professional realm, so that I can further prepare myself for the journey ahead. With the help of the Independent Study and Mentorship program, I want to learn more about myself as a person and see how I can channel my strengths into making the biggest impact on others in and outside of my community.
